I just came across a slew of new marketing materials from my former employer and laughed out loud when I saw they were still making the same trademark and branding errors as always. It used to frustrate me (it was always the same mistakes over and over) - now I can laugh at it.

I mean really, these are supposed to be super smart people with master's degrees and they have no regard for basic branding tactics. Things my kids would know without being told it's "marketing or branding". They'd know just because of basic grammar rules.

Yes, these are the everyday things that I don't miss. I applaud anyone who succeeds in attaining their master's degree. I applaud common sense and crisp execution of campaigns even more.

OK, that was my personal rant. :-)

Yeah it's amazing how many people who actually have jobs don't bother to proofread their documents or materials, or even use Spellcheck!

Unless you fat fingers keys like me, sometimes. Ha. Ha.
Seriously, we use to market certain members of the community where I use to work back in the day, and some people still do not get it right. Guess, not much has changed.

(Counting down the days... 5 days until my husbnad gets here and 10 days until my baby graduates! Then two days on the road with five cats and entourage of family following...Hope it is nice weatherwise.)
